PURPOSE:To form uniformly a thin layer of a developing agent by making the distance from a contacting point with a sleeve less to the free end of a magnetic elastic piece than to the fixed end of a fixed member. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic 3 which turns as shown by an arrow and a sleeve 2 which turns in the opposite direction are provided in a photosensitive drum 1 closely positioned, and a developer leveling plate 5 is provided in contact with the sleeve 2 at a point C on the sleeve 2 on the opposite side to a development position where the sleeve 2 is close to the photosensitive drum 1. The leveling plate 5 is a magnetic and elastic leaf spring member and in contact with the sleeve 2 under an adequate pressure. The leveling plate 5 has a free end A on the upstream side at distance l from the contacting point C, the length l of a segment AC is set much less than that of a segment BC, and a hopper 6 for reserving a magnetic developer 10 is provided on the upstream side of the contacting point C between the sleeve 2 and leveling plate 5. |
