The invention relates to a screw-rotor machine where the flank, which is leading at compressor operation, of each cam, right outside of the pitch circle follows a curve which at the intersection point with the pitch circle forms an angle with the rotor radius of 0.25-0.75 rad, and in this point has a radius of curvature which is larger than the product of the pitch radius and sine of said angle.
