ROLLING MILL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the shape controlling capacity of a rolling mill and to facilitate changing from an existing rolling mill by making an intermediate roll which is interposed between a small diameter roll of dissimilar diameter work rolls and a backup roll bendable in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:A lower work roll 4 is driven at a high speed and an upper work roll 3 of a smaller diameter at a low speed by means of respective driving motors. To perform controlling of a shape, horizontal bending force (ST) is applied to a horizontal bending roll 6 according to need to curve an intermediate roll 5 in a horizontal direction and to force the same into between the upper backup roll 1 and the roll 3. Thus the shape of the rolled material is controlled by applying bending to the roll 3 in the above-mentioned way.
