PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive and durable cylindrical electrostatic recording body made of synthetic resin by providing a cylindrical shape to a sheet of a mixture of resin with carbon fibers and by adjusting the electric resistance of the sheet in the thickness direction to 10<2>-10<5>OMEGA/cm<3>. CONSTITUTION:To 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin for molding are added 50pts. wt. DOP and 10pts.wt. carbon fibers having 5mm. length, and they are mixed, dispersed and passed through the space between rolls to form a sheet having about 200mum thickness. The electric resistance of the sheet in the thickness direction is adjusted to 10<2>-10<5>OMEGA/cm<3>. The surface of the sheet is coated with a dielectric layer composed of 100pts.wt. silicone resin and 30pts.wt. alumina powder. By adhering both sides of the coated sheet to each other with ultrasonic waves, a cylindrical electrostatic recording body is obtd. When the recording body is attached to an electrostatic recording device and run, the printing resistance is increased by about 30 times that of a recording body using carbon black powder. |
