PURPOSE:To provide a sufficient roll bend effect even in case when a correcting load is small, by giving a bend load and suspending force in the upper and lower directions, to a work roll end part by a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In a tension leveler, the end part of a work roll 1 is supported in the upper and lower directions by a cylinder 23 through a bearing 21 and a chock 22. To this chock 22, a load in the roll shaft direction is given by a cylinder 24, and it is applied as a bending moment to the work roll 1. The end part of the counter side of the work roll 1 is made to have the same structure. The load of this cylinder 23 is controlled, also its magnitude is changed in the operating side and the driving side, it is made unsymmetrical against the center in the axial direction of the work roll 1, and also its magnitude is changed freely and also in the uneven direction. By this mechanism, flatness of a produced strip is improved. |
