Method and arrangement for control of a brushless alternating current motor 23 which is driven by an inverter 31-36 connected to a direct current source 24, 25. The direct current that is supplied to the inverter is detected. The signal is taken across a peak-value detector 41 to a regulator 45 which decreases its frequency-control output signal if the peak-value input signal exceeds a predetermined value. A control signal corresponding to the motor's momentary requirement is also created. This signal controls the voltage supplied to the motor. Negative pulses arising when the inverter switches are closed are also detected and used to control the degree of magnetisation of the motor. <IMAGE> |
