摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an optical logical element which prevents the malfunction for attenuation of the luminous intensity and can put plural lights different in quantity of polarization onto one optical transmission line, by expressing optical logical information with different polarized lights. CONSTITUTION:A reference polarized light 4 in figure is defined as logical value ''1'', and a polarized light 5 is defined as logical value ''0''. In a logical inverting element, an incident light A passes an optical path 2a and is filtered by a polarizing filter 6a; and is the incident light A has logical value ''1'', this light passes through the filter 6a and passes a photoelectric converter 7 and an amplifier 8 to flow a current to an electric polarizer 9. Only the reference polarized light 4 reaches an optical path 2c by a polarizing filter 6b. If the electric polarizer 9 is operated when the reference polarized light 4 passes through the electric polarizer, an exit light B is a polarized light of logical value ''0''; and if the incident light A has logical value ''0'', it does not pass the filter 6a, and the polarizer 9 is not operated, and the exit light B is a polarized light of logical value ''1''.
