PURPOSE:To prevent effectively an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst from being damaged by a thing dropped thereon in a roaster having the catalyst mounted above a burner by an arrangement wherein a cover 3 with notches formed on its sides is located in an opening of top plate placed above the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The titled roaster includes a combustion chamber enclosed by a cover 3 having an exhaust port and adapted to cover the upper part of the burner and a drawer casing 4 adapted to cover the lower part, burners 1 mounted oppositely in the combustion chamber, and a radiation member 2 located above the burners. Further, a catalyst 5 is located in the exhaust port, and an exhaust port cover 7 rests on a top plate 6 forming an outer frame and which is located above the exhaust port. In this case, the exhaust port cover 7 has a plurality of small holes ''a'' formed on the upper surface thereof, notches ''b'' formed on the sides thereby, and inwardly bent striraight portions C formed on the transverse sides thereof. In positioning the cover 7, the straight portions C are fitted in peripheral edge portion g of exhaust passage port d of the top plate 6 so as to enable longitudinal and transverse movements of the cover 7 to be controlled. |
