PURPOSE:To remove a toner on the surface of a toner image carrier, by rubbing the surface of the toner image carrier with a magnetic brush which is formed by attracting a magnetic material carrier to the surface of a rotary magnetic material attracting sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A carrier is stuck to the surface of a magnetic material attracting sleeve 3, which turns clockwise, from a carrier storage 6 in the form of feathers to form a magnetic brush, and the height of the magnetic brush is adjusted to a certain value when it passes a tuft regulating plate 7. By this magnetic brush, a toner 2 on a toner image carrier 1 is separated and is caught with the electrical attraction due to a bias voltage applied to the magnetic material attracting sleeve 3. The caught toner is attracted by the bias voltage of a toner recovery cylinder 8 and is moved. Consequently, the magnetic brush rubs always the surface of the toner image carrier 1 in the clear state with the toner removed. |
