PURPOSE:To control a mixture to a lean state and improve fuel consumption, by changing flow resistance in a cleaner element of an air cleaner in accordance with an operational condition of an internal-combustion engine and increasing an intake air quantity in a normally opened range of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:A negative pressure inlet 11a located in the upstream side of a throttle valve 3b at its idle opening is connected to a negative pressure chamber 10c in a negative pressure responsive device 10 through a negative pressure passage 11. A rod 10b is connected to a diaphragm 10a partitioning the chamber 10c, and intake negative pressure is applied to the chamber 10c in a normal opening range of the throttle valve 3b, then the rod 10b is retracted against urging force of a coil spring 10d. As a result, compression of a cleaner element 2a by a tightening band 6 through a link 7 is released to reduce flow resistance of the cleaner element 2a smaller than that of a normal cleaner element and increase an intake air quantity. |
