<p>The building heater solar panel has separate air and water circuits. The water circuit supplies a heat exchanger in the domestic hot water circuit (d.h.w.) and then discharges to a hot water accumulator from where it is pumped back into the circuit. The d.h.w. is also heated by a standby fuel-fired heater. The air ducting uses warm air from the solar panel and, by use of bypass dampers, the air flows can be optimised. The input fan supplies the building. Air is extracted by the fan and/or recirculated in the duct. A heat pump is interposed between the exhaust and recirculation ducts. An air-to-water heat exchanger is also incorporated in the d.h.w.cylinders.</p> |
