The hand-tool handle coupling (1) is for a paint-stripping knife, using a circular shoulder (3) to locate the ferrule (4). The shoulder is incorporated on the rear handle which contains the tang (2). Its depth is approximately equal to the thickness of the ferrule. The ferrule is used at the junction of the handle (5) with the blade.
