PURPOSE:To release an underwater tank from the limitation of the foundation spot by constructing the underwater tank as a half-underwater float body and mooring it indirectly to the sea bottom. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a half-underwater tank 1 is divided into three chamber in the direction of the depth. There are provided a seawater ballast tank 2, a liquefied gas tank 3, and a fixed ballast 4 successively from the top to the bottom. The inside of the fixed ballast 4 to stabilize the center of gravity is constructed of a heavy material such as concrete. Meanwhile, anchors 12 are thrown in at several spots on the sea bottom, and the underwater tank 1 is catenary-moored via chains 13 and winches 14. In this construction, the morring by anchors and chains can be almost free from the limitation of the foundation caused by the depth of water. |
