PURPOSE:To facilitate the fitting of a spring, by elastically deforming the spring to engage its one end with a frame and then fitting an elastically pushed member in the frame and thereafter disengaging the end of the spring and engaging the end with the elastically pushed member. CONSTITUTION:After a spring 4 is set on a support pin 5c, the spring is elastically deformed to engage its one end 4a with a bottom 5a and the other end 4b with a hook 5d. The spring 4 is thus put in a tentatively assembled state. A zero return member 1 is mounted on a frame 5. A rod jig is inserted through a hole 5e to disengage the end 4b of the spring 4 from the hook 5d. Consequently, the end 4b is automatically engaged with the shaft of a pinion 3 due to the restoring property of the spring itself. |
