PURPOSE:To conduct a transfer printing operation wherein a high adhesive force can be efficiently obtained without heating, by a method wherein activating liquids are coated respectively on printing surfaces of a transfer sheet and a body to be transfer printed thereon, the coated surfaces are laminated with each other, and a pattern to be printed is transferred onto the surface of the body by pressing the transfer sheet against the body. CONSTITUTION:The pattern to be printed is provided on releasing surface of a releasable sheet to produce the transfer sheet, the first activating liquid is coated on the printing surface of the transfer sheet thus obtained, and the second activating liquid is coated on the body to be transfer printed thereon. Then, the transfer sheet is laminated on the body so that the coated surfaces make contact with each other, the pattern is transferred onto the surface of the body by pressing the transfer sheet against the surface of the body, and thereafter the releasable sheet is released. Further, if required, a protective layer may be provided on the surface of the body on which the pattern is transfer printed. For example, a transparent coated film layer 2 to constitute a protective layer after transfer printing is provided on the releasing surface of the releasable sheet 1 as desired, then the pattern 3 to be printed is provided, and further an adhesive layer 4 is provided as desired to produce the transfer sheet. |
