1,007,644. Distributers. HOLLANDSE SIGNAALAPPARATEN N.V. Oct. 4, 1961 [Oct. 4, 1960], No. 35796/60. Divided out of 1,007,643. Drawings to Specification. Heading H4P. [Also in Division G4] The invention provides a distributer system in which the pulses are generated by a continuously operating pulse generator which supplies pulses in cyclic order to the output circuits, it being so arranged that, upon the reception of a start signal, the system always gives a pulse of full length at the first output and, upon reception of a stop pulse, the system completes its cycle independently of the time of occurrence of the stop signal. In a modification, several such systems, each having a different pulse repetition frequency, are so combined that only one system can operate at a time. In a further modification the start signal for one of the systems may act as a stop signal for the other systems, or the start signal for one system may have no effect upon another system if this system also has a start signal on it. The system is described with reference to a data display system in which the several distributer systems provide synchronizing pulses of various repetition frequencies for controlling magnetic stores, triggers, etc. The display system comprises a system for the simultaneous step-by-step setting of a number of movable elements, there being means for indicating whether or not each element is in its correct or desired position thereby to determine whether or not to step the element further. The display system is described in Specification 1,007,643. |
