<p>Filter assembly has rows of filter elements in the form of filter bags or tubes suspended from overhead bars and each with its lower end passing through a continuous sealing ring engaged with the edge of a hole in a horizontal transverse partition and pref. made of felt. Between sealing ring and filter element is a spring ring applying outwardly directed radial pressure to hold the sealing ring in dust-proof contact with the edge of the hole. Sealing ring and its surrounding partition wall have complementary shapes. The wall may engage a peripheral groove formed in the ring, or may itself be bent to form a groove engaged by a flange projecting from the felt ring. Suitable for assembly with dusty air sucked through the elements from below. The components can be quickly assembled, with effective sealing ensured.</p> |
