A rotary piston I.C. engine comprises an enclosing body 10 of trocnoidal cross-section and a piston 15 having surfaces 25 through which fuel is injected in the combustion chambers. As shown, shaft 11 is integral with an eccentric 14 on which piston 15 is rotatably mounted. On rotation of the piston, fuel passes along a central bore 20 in shaft 11 and then through a radial bore 21. Peripheral grooves 22 and bores 23 in the piston conduct the fuel to injection points 24, 24<SP>1</SP> 24<SP>11</SP> e.g. formed by nozzles. |
