PURPOSE:To obtain a formed beam antenna which can synthesize sector beams excellent in the radiation characteristics of a wide angle, by constituting one reflecting mirror through the combination of parabolic torus and a paraboloid of revolution and feeding power to the reflecting mirror with one primary radiator. CONSTITUTION:A main reflecting mirror 30 consists of partial reflecting mirrors 31-33. The reflecting mirror 31 is formed with a parabolic torus in which a parabola taking a point F as a focus and an axis 34 as a directrix in the cut line of the X-Z plane as a generatrix and the generatrix is turned around the X axis in parallel with the axis 34 by + or -theta0. The reflecting mirrors 32, 33 are formed with a paraboloid of revolution turning said parabola around axes Z32, Z33 passing through the point F respectively. Thus, power is fed from a primary radiator 12 located at the point F, the beam width is controlled at a plane orthogonal to the Y-Z plane including the X axis, e.g. within the X-Z plane, and sector beams having a sectorial spread in the Y-Z plane can be synthesized. |
