PURPOSE:To reduce the wind loss of a rotor by forming a vent air bending member for bending the flow of coolant flowing along the outer periphery of a pole projected toward the rotating rear side of the pole toward a radially outside. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral rear edges of the heads 3 of salient-poles 2a, 2b having a field coil 1 are outwardly slackened in a wavy shape, and are formed at a converging vent air bending member 11. The member 11 ia so slackened in the degree that the air stream 5 isolated from the member 11 is arrived at the air stram adhering point 7 at the front outer peripheral surface of the heads 3 of the poles 2b of the rear side. In this manner, the collision loss of the stream 5 can be reduced, the strength of a vortex due to the secondary air stream 10 between the poles 2a and 2b can be reduced, thereby reducing the vent air resistance and improving the cooling operation. |
