An injection pump (1) for the slow metering conveying of a liquid from at least one exchangeable needle (6) has a closed-wall housing, a bearing device (4) for the needle (6), a motor drive device (9) and a transmission for transmitting a drive force from the drive device (9) to the needle (6). A rotating drive element (24), whose rotary movement can be converted to a translational movement of the injection piston to convey the liquid, is arranged outside the housing wall (10) and engages with its circumference (27) directly on the movable injection part (26) for conveying.
