A coupling hook (1) for a screw coupling on rail vehicles has a draw bar eye (1a) which is turned away from a coupling hook head via a coupling hook shaft (1b) and which, by means of a bolt, is connected in an articulated fashion to a head part (5) of a vehicle-side spring device (2) which receives the tensile forces which occur. In order to be able to couple the coupling hook (1) in a simpler and more reliable manner and with less risk of accidents, the coupling hook (1) is tensioned counter to the force of a spring arrangement (3) which engages on it, is supported on the vehicle-side spring device (2) and is constructed as an element for centre-restoring the coupling hook (1). <IMAGE>
