A pipe connection for metal pipes, especially for oilfield pipes, having a bolt pipe element, a collar pipe element and a conical screw thread on the bolt pipe element and in the collar pipe element. Arranged in the collar pipe element is an abutment surface which springs back outwards in a flat-conical manner, and a corresponding end surface is arranged on the bolt pipe element. On the inside, a circumferential sealing element in the form of a sealing cone which springs forward outwards in a steep-conical manner on the abutment surface is adjacent to the mating sealing surface, connected to the end surface. The abutment surface has a plurality of circumferential sealing ribs, to which sealing grooves in the end surface are allocated.
