PURPOSE:To obtain a filler for liquid chromatography capable of omitting a protein removing operation and yet separating and determining a low mol.wt. component, by using porous particles consisting of a copolymer of a hydrophobic monomer and a hydrophilic monomer. CONSTITUTION:A function for separating low mol. wt. substances having a hydrophobic part is given by using a hydrophobic monomer, and use of a hydrophilic monomer permits separation using an aqueous eluting soln. For the hydrophobic monomer, a vinyl monomer having a phenyl group is suitable, and for the hydrophilic monomer, tetradecyl glycol dimethacrylate, diethylene glycol dimethacrylate, or the like is used. It is desirable that particle diameter is 3- 40mum range, and pore diameter depending on the particle diameter is in 5- 200nm in general. |
