In an electrically insulating connection between two rod-shaped metal elements which are arranged on a common axis and are separated from one another by an insulating body, for transmitting both torques and forces from one element to the other which act in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the elements, the one element (1, 2) engages with a section that is constructed as a multiple edge into a longitudinal duct of the other element (3) which has a multiple edged profile.
