Parking-time indicator device

The invention relates to a method of indicating the time for which a motor vehicle is stopped at a parking place and to a device for carrying out the method. Placed in the motor vehicle is a parking indicator which is visible from outside and in which is entered a fee stamp, the value of which amounts to a multiple of the fee for a parking-time unit. The parking indicator is activated up to the end of the actual parking time at a counting speed proportional to the value of the parking-time unit for the particular parking place. An electronic counter is used as a parking indicator. The counter has a simple count and program display and a switch-on check which are all visible from outside the vehicle.
