The coffee machine is equipped with a filter which is arranged in an associated filter carrier. It also has a grinding and a brewing device. So that more individuals than hitherto can be served by only one machine during the course of one day, it is proposed that, in addition to one filter, there be at least one further filter, and that the filters on the one hand and the grinding and brewing devices (25, 26) on the other hand be mounted displaceably relative to one another between at least two positions. In the first position, a filter bears sealingly against the brewing device (25) and in the second position the grinding device (26) grinds the coffee into this filter. In addition, means (18, 19, 20) are provided for cleaning the filters. <IMAGE>
