PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of the entire driving device by providing a motor which operates also as a magnetic bearing above a rotor mounted rotatably in a casing. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 is rotatably mounted in a casing 1 of cylindrical shape with a bottom, and a motor 3 is mounted above the rotor 2. This motor 3 is composed of a rotor 4 which operates also as a magnetic bearing, and a stator 5. This rotor 4 is mounted on the upper end plate 2a of the rotor 2. The stator 5 is provided inside the upper plate 1a of the casing 1 opposed to the rotor 4. In this manner, the components are reduced, thereby facilitating the assembling, reducing the weight and labor-saving the device due to mass production. |
