PURPOSE:To measure the position of a target accurately, by installing three ultrasonic wave receivers and one bearing meter on a floating plate which is hung from a ship and is floated horizontally in water and directing always the floating plate to a reference direction by the bearing meter and detecting the position of the target generating ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:A floating plate 15 is hung from a ship 12 into water horizontally by a rope 5, and three ultrasonic wave receivers 1, 2 and 3 and one bearing meter 4 are installed on this floating plate 15. The ultrasonic wave receiver 1 is attached at the intersection between two axes orthogonal to each other, and the ultrasonic wave receiver 2 is attached at another point on the X axis, and the ultrasonic wave receiver 3 is attached at another point on the Y axis. Ultrasonic waves 7 from a target 6 reach ultrasonic wave receivers 1-3 and are sent from them to a receiver 8, and the time difference and the phase difference of ultrasonic waves are detected by an X axis operating circuit 9 and a Y axis operating circuit 10 and are inputted to a correcting circuit 11. The correcting circuit 11 receives the quantity of deviation from the north direction from the bearing meter 4 and displays the position of the target on a cathode-ray tube display 13 on a basis of the north direction. |
