PURPOSE:To enable a total amt. of protein to be determined in a short time without causing an error, by using a reagent contg. cupric salt, tartarate, and a buffering agent. CONSTITUTION:A reagent is composed of cupric salt, tartarate, buffer, and when needed, iodide, and its pH is controlled to 10.8-11.4. For the cupric salt, cupric sulfate, cupric chloride, cupric nitrate, etc. are used. For the tartarate, potassium. sodium tartarate, sodium tartarate, potassium tartarate, etc. are used. For the iodide, potassium iodide, sodium iodide, etc. are used. For the buffer, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, borax-sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate-sodium carbonate, etc. are used. |
