Spray pistols for pneumatic spraying of liquids and solids, optionally with electrostatic charging, comprise a spraying tube 12 from which spray material is conveyed by means of a compressed air jet, and a second tube 14 axially within the spraying tube and projecting beyond the mouth thereof and having a lateral annular air outlet 19 on the covered end 18 of said second tube to provide braking air whereby the rate of flow of the spray material may be reduced. The outlet 19 may be an adjustable annular gap, and the braking air tube may be axially displaceable relative to the spraying tube. The cap 18 may function as an electrode. |
