摘要 Dialysers for artificial kidneys using hollow fibre bundles have terminal connections for the blood flow or drainage of blood designed as covers on both ends of the cylindrical housing for the hollow fibre. These covers usually have a central nozzle for the blood hose and form a distribution space for distribution of the blood entering there to the ends of the hollow fibre in the bundle and correspondingly at the outflow end. Previous embodiments of such covers were unsuitable in respect of flow because they caused not only large variations in the flow velocity of blood inside the distribution space but also led to detachment of the flow from the axial cover wall. The present invention provides a calculation method for cover designs which does not have such deficiencies as a result of which novel cover contours with improved properties are achieved. For this purpose, the flow fields of 1) the rotationally symmetrical hold-up flow and 2) a spread circular sink flow are combined with each other after which the large number of flow lines is selected by the rim of the sink area as the cover contour. Such a flow line defining the contour cross-section is determined for calculation.
