PURPOSE:To reduce fixed pattern noise and to improve the output characteristics, by providing two capacitive elements in parallel between an output signal line and a reference potential point and transferring one storage charge to the other via a switch. CONSTITUTION:Photodiode arrays in which a photodiode D11 and a vertical MOS switch Qv1 are taken as cells for one picture element, are arranged in matrix, and an output of each picture element cell belonging to the same column is given to an output signal line 2 of a pickup element via a common horizontal MOS switch QH1. A MOS switch Q1 for charge transfer is inserted in series with the signal line 2 and the 2nd capacitive element C2 is provided between the output line of the switch Q1 and ground. While no output signal is given to the signal line 2, the switch Q1 turns on and the stored charge in the element C1 is transferred to the element C2. |
