PURPOSE:To provide erasure/nonerasure section lines at erasure starting and ending points along slanting tracks by arraying erasing head in the widthwise direction of a beltlike recording medium in such a way that their gaps are nearly perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the medium, and then turning on and off them successively. CONSTITUTION:Erasing heads EH1...EHn are arranged in a light at right angles to a tape conveyance direction, and the gap GP of each head extend in the tape conveyance direction. When a selection switch SW1 is turned on, Triacs TR1... TRn turn on successively to apply an erasing current from a power source ACS to the EH1...EHn successively. Then when a switch SW2 for erasure and video recording mode is turned off, latch circuits LG1...LGn are reset successively according to a pulse signal P2. Since the Triacs turn off in the order of TR1... TRn eventually, so the erasure current is cut off in the order of the heads EH1...EHn. Thus, erasure/nonerasure section lines are provided along slanting tracks. |
