PURPOSE:To recover a photoreceptor from fatigue efficiently in a short time, by repeating the heating stage and the polishing stage simultaneously or continuously while moving the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 2 is wrapped round a drum mount 1. A polishing brush roll 3a is supported freely rotatably in one position on the circumferential face of the photoreceptor 2, and a polishing brush device 3 provided with a box 3c, where abrasives 4 are stored, in the position where brush hairs 3b can rub the surface of the photoreceptor 2. A rotary fur brush cleaning device 5 is arranged similarly in the lower stream side of the device 3 along the rotation direction of the drum mount 1. The photoreceptor 2 which is always heated and rotated by the drum mount 1 is rubbed and polished with abrasives 4 by the device 3. The polished photoreceptor 2 is rotated and moved to the device 5, and adhered abrasives 4 and film are swept off. This operation is repeated in accordance with the rotation of the drum mount 1. |
