A housing for holding electronic components contains a U-shaped profiled bar (2), which forms the rear wall (3) and the upper and lower wall (4, 5) of the housing (1). Inside the profiled bar there are at least two parallel longitudinal grooves for holding a printed-circuit board (8). Angled metal sheets (15, 16) can be mounted on both lateral sides as covers, optionally with their oblique surfaces aligned with the rear wall (3) or the front side of the housing (1). The cover (21) of the housing (1) contains projections for latching onto the front side of the profiled bar (2). <IMAGE>
