PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for intricate working such as boring, that is, machining, and to obtain external parts for a timepiece with simple post-working, by obtaining shells for external parts for timepieces by molding inside and outside diameters at one time and electroforming thereafter casting metallic solder into said shells. CONSTITUTION:Inside and outside diameters of external parts for timepieces are molded simultaneously, and a conductive film 2 is formed on the top surface of the shape of the external parts for timepieces of a mold 1. The mold is subjected to an electroforming treatment to make external parts for timepieces having electroformed shell structure 3. Metallic solder 4 is cast to the inner side of the external parts for timepieces. Polyurethane resins are generally preferable for the material of the matrix and other resins, for example, silicone resins, and epoxy resins are equally well. Mainly Au, Ag, Cu, Ni, etc. are used frequently for the conductive film. The thickness of the electroforming shells is optional but is more preferably >=50mu. |
