PURPOSE:To prevent the thermosetting and the degradation of a toner in a developing machine, by cooling the developing machine itself to keep the temperature of the developing machine constant. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of a developing machine 3 rises to reach a lower set temperature, for example, 35 deg.C, a controlling part 9 receives the output of a thermosensitive element 6, which detects this temperature, to operate an air intake fan 8a and an exhaust fan 8b. If the external temperature of a casing 1 is not high, the developing machine 3 can be cooled by the air current which is generated around the developing machine by the operation of fans 8a and 8b; but when the temperature rises furthermore, the developing machine cannot be cooled by fans only. Then, when the temperature of the developing machine reaches a higher set temperature, for example, 45 deg.C, the controlling part 9 receives the output of the element, which detects this temperature, to operate Peltier elements 71-7n together with fans 8a and 8b, and the cooling effect is enhanced. The ventilation of elements 71-7n is stopped when the temperature becomes lower than 45 deg.C, and fans 8a and 8b are made unoperated when the temperature becomes lower than 35 deg.C. |
