PURPOSE:To accumulate a large amount of solar heat or the like for a long period of time, by a method wherein a plurality of small containers with water sealed therein are packed in a space partitioned underground by heat insulators, and upper and lower heat-collecting and heat-radiating pipes are buried. CONSTITUTION:When a medium such as water is heated in a heat collector and is circulated into the lower heat-collecting and heat-radiating pipes 3 through a connecting pipe 1, heat radiation by the pipe 3 is started to heat the water- containing small container 4 and earth 5 provided in the periphery of the pipe 3. When heating is further continued, heat is gradually transferred from the small containers 4 and earth to the small containers and earth 5 in the deeper periphery, and heat accumulation is simultaneously started. Then, all of the small containers 4 and earth 5 packed in the space part D are entiredly heated, accumulating heat. |
