PURPOSE:To enhance the processing performance by carrying out the discharging processing through such a procedure that the processing electrode, work electrode and processing gap are situated in the air and then the water with or without a minute amount of organic substances is poured there either continuously or intermittently in such a degree as to fill the gap. CONSTITUTION:The processing liquid 12 in a tank 13 is pumped up by a pump 15, and a processing gap supply amount control valve 19 is controlled by a controller 20 to discharge it for supply to the gap 8. The place of processing is covered with splash protective covers 3, 9, and gas, steam, etc. generated during the processing are absorbed through an absorption hole 21. Thus a noncombustible processing liquid can be utilized with water as its main component. |
