PURPOSE:To carry a specified amount of powder by compressed air by keeping the pressure of a measuring hopper, an automatic powder quantitative supply device and a mixer for pneumatic transport equally higher than the atmospheric pressure, and supplying powder by specified amounts from the supply device to the mixer. CONSTITUTION:A valve 15 is opened to supply compressed air to an air jet nozzle 12, and an electric motor 18 is driven to rotate a rotor 21 of a powder supply device 9 through a vertical shaft 20. The pulverized coal in a measuring hopper 1 is filled up between blades 21a of the rotor 21 to be levelled by a levelling plate 19, and discharged by specified amounts from a powder discharge outlet 10 to a pneumatic transport pipe 16 by its gravity and compressed air ejected from the lower surface of the air jet nozzle 12 to be supplied through the pneumatic transport path 16 to a pulverized coal combustion furnace 17. The coal is burned here. When the pulverized coal in the measuring hopper 1 decreases, a valve 14 is opened to supply compressed air to a service hopper 2 so that the pressure of the service hopper is equal to that of the measuring hopper 1. |
