PURPOSE:To obtain a high-stereoregularity polymer in high yields, by (co)polymerizing olefins in the presence of a catalyst comprising a specified solid Ti compound, an organometallic compound and an organosilicon compound. CONSTITUTION:A solid Ti catalytic componennt (A) is obtained by contacting a hydrocarbon solution of a non-reducing halogen-containing Mg compound (i) and a halogen-containing tetravalent Ti compound (ii) or a hydrocarbon solution of compounents (i) and (ii) with at least one electron donor selected from the group consisting of a monocarboxylic acid ester, a ketone, an alkoxy group- containing alcohol, an Si-O-C bond-containing organosilicon compound and the like, in the presence of a polycarboxylic acid ester and/or a polyhydroxy compound. Then, olefins are (co)polymerized in the presence of a catalyst system comprising the above component, an organometallic compound having a Group I-III metal of the periodic table and an organosilicon compound having an Si-O-C or Si-N-C bond.
