PURPOSE:To make processing in a short time and have the life undropped, by providing possibility of quick feeding not inferior to the flange cut shaving even in conventional shaving or diagonal shaving. CONSTITUTION:Serration of each tooth of a shaving cutter is shown by a differential serration in the down cutter system, in whih the angle alpha is displaced in the axial direction. In order to complete the shaving process in a short period of time and to prevent drop of the life, it is essential to widen the contact area of the cutter with the work, and therefore the cutter is given a follow lead to disperse possible wear throughout the cutter width for the purpose of enhancement of the life. If this cutter is compared with any conventional one, the cutting condition with conventional cutting is based on up-cutting, where the cutting edge moves from left to right as shown by the arrow in the attached illustration. |
