PURPOSE:To obtain a lithographic printing plate hving good clearness and good printing durability by providing a light transmittive electrifying recording layer composed primarily of zinc oxide, a polyhydric phenol, an inorganic electrolyte, and a binder on the metal of a supporter. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous dispersion containing as main components zinc oxide, a polyhydric phenol, an inorganic electrolyte, and a binder is coated on the metal layer of a supporter (e.g., a metal or metal-laminate paper or film, metal-deposited film, etc.) and dried to form an electrifying recording layer of an adherence amount of 5-30g/cm<2>. The preferred amount of zinc oxide in the electrifying recording layer is about 20-70%, whereby a light transmittivity is given to the electrifying layer, and also non-patterning part is converted into a hydrophilic one when being subjected to a desensitization treatment. Also, the preferred amounts of polyhydric phenol, inorganic electrolyte, and binder used are 1-20%, 3-20%, and 10-60%, respectively. |
