A diazotype material comprises a support coated with a layer containing a pigment, a resinous binder and 2 to 20% by weight based on all solids in the layer of an emulsified polyalkene, paraffin wax, rosin or mixtures of rosin and paraffin wax, and overcoated with a diazotype layer. The emulsified material may also be coated on the back of the support or included in the light-sensitive layer with or without the pigment or binder. In the examples, a paper support is coated with silica, polyvinyl acetate or corn starch modified by treatment with phosphorus halide and emulsified polyethylene, paraffin wax or a paraffin waxrosin mixture and then coated with a1- or 2-component diazotype layer. |
