<p>PURPOSE:To perform the peeling work efficiently without failures, by inserting the end part of a coated optical fiber through the drawing-in space of a peeling tool and crushing the end part to make it into coating torn stripe pieces and fixing the optical fiber by a pressing piece and pressing bending parts of torn stripe pieces to a knife edge to cut them. CONSTITUTION:The end part of an optical fiber A is drawn through the drawing-in space of a peeling tool in the direction of an arrow, and the end part is bent in the direction of an arrow to crush a coating layer 5. Breaks 17 are generated in the longitudinal direction in the coating layer 5, and the coating layer 5 is made into >=2 coating torn stripe pieces 5', 5'.... A pressing piece 15 is deflected in the direction of an arrow (x) and is fixed to a clipping face 11, and respective coating torn stripe pieces 5', 5'... are peeled from the outside circumference of an optical fiber 1, and bending parts 18 are pressed to a knife edge 10 at the tip of a front part 7 to cut coating torn stripe pieces 5', 5'.... Thus, the peeling work is performed efficiently without failures.</p> |
