<p>SHOE MACHINE AIR BLAST MECHANISM AND AIR BLAST SAFETY A machine for lasting shoes in which the margin of a shoe upper is secured to the bottom of an insole by application of regulatably pressurizable molten cement along the margin of the forepart of an insole bottom utilizing a U-shaped upwardly directed nozzle. The nozzle includes a reservoir therein permitting the building up of a supply of pressurizable molten cement. An orifice is provided on the nozzle for collecting and discharging upwardly the molten cement on an insole. A throat is provided, of diminished diameter, whereby fluid communication is established between the reservoir and the orifice. The throat provides sufficient velocity to the pressurizable molten cement to enable it to be ejected to an insole.</p> |
