Compounds of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) in which R1 is an alpha -branched alkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl, phenyl or alpha , alpha -dimethylbenzyl and R2 is methyl, isopropyl, tert.-butyl, tert.-pentyl, 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl, nonyl, 1,1,3,3,5,5-hexamethylhexyl or alpha , alpha -dimethylbenzyl, only one of R1 and R2 being 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl and at least one of R1 and R2 possessing at least 8 carbon atoms, and R3 is hydrogen or methyl, or R3 together with R2 is 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-propylene, are suitable as stabilizers for organic material to protect it against thermo-oxidative and light-induced degradation.
