PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp and fog-free image, by adding monoalkyl tin oxide as a positive charging controller of a color toner contg. a binder, resin, a colorant, and this controller, to this resin by 0.5-10wt%. CONSTITUTION:Colorless monoalkyl tin oxide giving intense positive charge is used as a positive charging controller. This 3pts.wt. controller is mixed with 96pts.wt. copolymer of styrene and n-butyl methacrylate and 1pt.wt. rhodamine 6G lake pigment as a colorant, melted, and kneaded. A toner capable of controlling positive charging is obtained by finely pulverizing this mixture. A positively chargeable developer is obtained by mixing 100pts.wt. spherical iron oxide powder with 3pts.wt. toner. This is strongly attracted to a negative electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor to form a sharp color image without scattering the toner from a developing machine. |
