PURPOSE:To improve color separation and color reproducibility by composing a semiconductor strips filter of at least one of CdSe, CdS and ZnS as a main component and adding a specific one of Cl, Br and I. CONSTITUTION:A color separation stripe filter comprises a light transmissive substrate 1, cyanine color transmissive multilayer film interference stripe filter 2, yellow color transmissive semiconductor stripe filter 3, reflection prevention layers 4 and 5 and transmissive dielectric 6 and 7. The filter 3 has at least one of CdSe, CdS and ZnS and an element belonging to a periodic table VII is added thereto. The element of the periodic table VII is Cl, Br or I. The above described composition enables manufacture of a color image pick-up tube which is good in color reproducibility by improving transmission near the fundamental absorption edge thereby the slant of spectral diffraction transmission characteristic near the half-width wavelength becomes steep. |
